Outline Itinerary
Day 01 : NABIRE ARRIVAL – KWATISORE VILLAGE – PLAYING WITH WHALE SHARK,-
Meals : Lunch – Dinner
Arrive in the morning at Nabire Airport before 12:00, proceed by car to the small port of Nabire and
then by motorized canoe in approx 2 – 3 hours to the Kwatisore Village. Lunch in box is provided. Arrived at the village for reporting the Permit (travel Permit) to Conservation Area to head of village. Preparation for buying small fishes from fisherman platforms or bagans, visit the area of whale shark. in case not possible to do this day, we will do for the next day. Overnight stay at home stay in the village. Dinner will be provided by local people.
Day 02 : PLAYING WITH WHALE SHARK – RETURN TO NABIRE
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch
Simple breakfast will be provided in the local house, by motorized canoe to reach the Fisherman platforms or bagan to buy some small fishes to feed the whale shark and continue to snorkeling down with some whale Shark, may be 2-5 whale Sharks are exist or may be more, or depend on local situation, the weather. Lunch in box will be provided. After lunch, if time is still available we will take you into the forest on foot for 25 minutes to see the bird of paradise. Back to Nabire main city by motorized canoe in approx 2 – 3 hours. Transfer to Nusantara Hotel, check-in and dinner will be on your own account.
Day 03 : NABIRE – JAYAPURA – FOOT OF MT. CYCLOP (B/L/D)
Meals : Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Early morning with or without breakfast, transfer to airport by car for your flight schedule to Jayapura by regular flight Wings Air. Arrive in Jayapura, proceed by car drive to foot Mt. Cyclop in 3 hours – The scenery during the trip and not boring you. Lunch is served enroute or provided by local people in the villages. Late afternoon around 16:00 PM walking into the forest to explore the jungle flora and fauna in the foot of Mt Cyclop. Here we will visit the bird of paradise habitat, walking about 40 minutes from where we stay. Usually some types of endemic birds stay long and breed here. Depends on the weather when we visit. Dinner is served by Local people and accommodation at simple guest house on the edge of the forest.
DAY 04 : FOOT OF MT. CYCLOP – AIRPORT OF JAYAPURA – DEPARTURE
Meals : Breakfast
Depending on the flight you have, before breakfast around 5 o’clock in the morning hiking in different directions to see birds of paradise or other bird birds while exploring the rainforest. Return to the Accommodation and enjoy the breakfast provided. By car, we will return to the city for approximately 3 hours and straight to Jayapura airport for the next departure.

Some Notes :
- The best time to see whale sharks is from May to October
- For security reason based on information from ‘Balai Besar Taman Nasional Teluk Cenderawasih &
“WWF” that to see whale sharks by using a Scuba diving is not recommended.
- Usually when the Full Moon arrives, Whale Sharks do not like to appear in this place.
We recommend for not to visit this area on 31 January and 31 March.
- In Ramadan and Idul Adha this place is closed for Visitors
- Snorkeler should follow guide’s instruction.
- The Travel Permits for entering the Conservation Area including Entrance fees must have paid and
ready in 7 days before arrival.
